Fixing Injustice?

Subject: Sheff v. O’Neill

To: CT Education Committee Legislators

I understand there was a public meeting today. I regret not being able to attend and wish this email be made part of the record.

The way a school system in a state operates gives a good indication on how a state is run.

I am posting this open email to you, with links, here:

In Connecticut, downtown areas are separate and unequal. If a home or business owner does not have connections and complains about heroin and cocaine dealing, prostitution, and/or unfair courts and disrespectful, ineffectual police, why should he or she, their family be a target to be taken out by the police and courts?

I could almost understand the racist, almost Mob/KKK atmosphere in a Southern state that couldn’t let go of the “slaving days” way of thinking, but don’t understand the depth of Connecticut’s bias, ethics lapses, and the brutally unfair it treats too many of its residents, undeservedly.

Minorities and poorer Whites shouldn’t be all out target to be put in US jails. [post]

I invested in downtown Connecticut investment properties [video], tried to benefit my community, co-founded a crime watch, wrote letters to the editor, and proposed laws to elected officials. I was then told by Connecticut State Police Officers that often followed me around wherever I went in pairs of cruisers, that I was kicked out of Connecticut and if I didn’t leave, I would be arrested. Prostitutes, drug dealers, and police informants that police paid tax dollars to commit crimes had their own crime syndicate where productive, taxpaying, family raising, home owning citizens were declared the enemy. These policies were meant to keep minorities down and out in Connecticut, but now extend to non-Elitist Whites.

It has been 7 years since I was attacked on my property by a police informant encouraged to attack and terrorize me on my Connecticut property. Only I was arrested, and I received a year in prison for pepper spraying him to end the attack.

So, I lost my home, family, business built up over 2 decades, everything. This is how police and the courts in Connecticut treat minorities that try to better themselves in downtown areas, and this is how Connecticut treats outsiders coming into invest in Connecticut that don’t sell out a loss to bullies and Mafia.

State Senator Tony Guglielmo, former Rep Mordasky, his aid Rosemarie know that I was a target of Connecticut State Police and Judge Jonathan Kaplan fixed my trial so that I was railroaded to prison. My life has been a daily, living hell, since. There is no justice as far as I can tell, and this is why I write you this letter.

It is time to change the climate of Connecticut that created Sheff v. O’Neill. There needs to be Civilian Oversight of Police and other departments/agencies. Courts need to act in the best interest of the public, and when there is no other avenue for justice, our cases should be heard at the legislature. Constituents deserve the service we pay for.

Thank you,

Steven G. Erickson

Police are using taxpayer money to pay state register police confidential informants to commit crimes, frame and terrorize citizens, beat and kill citizens, and make the quality of life in downtown Connecticut unbearable for the Elitist’s unwanted citizens. added April 16, 2008 at 11:21 PM EST:

Just happened on a copy of an old email that I had sent.

I sent the below email to Stafford Springs, Connecticut, State Senator Anthony Guglielmo the below message to Anthony.Guglielmo@po.state.ct.us on 12-4-01, I was attacked on my property in Stafford Springs, 10-11-01.

subject of email: Necessary Legislation.

Hi Tony,
I was walking to the auto parts store from
my house around noon this past Saturday and
Brian Caldwell tried to press for another
physical confrontation. I got away quickly
and contact a police officer I saw near my
house. Officer Hatch said he would call it
in. To my knowledge, Brian Caldwell, has
yet to be arrested for assaulting me and I
do not belief he has even been questioned
about coming after me on my property again
Oct 18 and the most recent incident.

I find it useless to call the police for
any problems I have with criminals as nothing
has been done from my past experience since moving
here in '94. I have an ex-convict camping on my
property without permission, I called police they
said it was a civil matter and I had to go to
court to remove this individual even though I
had to back into my basement after he came after
me on my yard threatening me (this was the incident
that made me feel it worthless to call in to police
and happened before I was assaulted). I had a woman
move in my apartment without my permission and I could
not get police to arrest her or remove her. I had a
couple who broke most of the windows and doors, urinated
on trash after they left the area to avoid the DCF
drug test. Officer Prochaska said he was not interested
in pursuing charges as the court was not interested in landlord
issues after I showed him the felony statutes covering
the behavior. I have called police when teenagers were
fighting, drinking alcohol, allegly selling drugs on
my front lawn. Police either did not show up, showed up
after much elapsed time, or did not do anything in any
reasonable time frame.

Who is more the criminal? A person who brags to everyone
who will listen for a week or so that he is going to beat
some one, walks around under the influence daily, hides in
someone bushes before attacking them, and continually
threatens someone (which he has a history of), or a
homeowner who defends him/herself on their own property
returning from work? I am the homeowner, taxpayer, and
now criminal.

The KGB and Nazi police force were not under civilian
control and regulated their own activities. I think,
if they are not already, the the Connecticut police should
be under civilian control as their activities could
be monitored and they could be assigned to tasks such
as making downtown areas safer, free of drugs and teenagers
drinking, directly. The fining of storeowner and the confiscation
of property and assets does not solve the problem, the criminals
themselves have to be gone after.

Thank you,
Steven G. Erickson

To: Connecticut State Police Internal Affairs and to whom it may concern:

I believe there was orders given down from top of Connecticut State Police, to ensure I was targeted to lose my livelihood, home, net worth, family, and all aspects of my life in retaliation for what I wrote in newspapers and laws I had proposed to elected officials against the wishes of Arthur L. Spada and others. I believe there was a police policy of having computers hacked into and making sure they fried when I, and others, tried to lodge complaints against Connecticut State Police Officers, including former Commissioner Arthur L. Spada. Internal Affairs Officers have, to this date, refused to do their jobs investigating my complaints. Please see to it, that an honest and thorough investigation of my past, and current police misconduct allegations, is done.

I am posting this email to you, here:

I was arrested by Troopers Amaral and Langlois 10-11-01 for resisting being mugged on my property, 5 Church St., Stafford Springs, CT. Amaral and Langlois later committed perjury at a rigged trial presided on by Judge Jonathan Kaplan, saying I never requested to make a complaint against Brian Caldwell.

My assailant, a felon, Brian Caldwell was encourage by officers to threaten, harass, and attack me over a period of time in Stafford Springs. A druggie felon was also threatening me at my former Somersville properties with the knowledge of Troop C officers. Alleged State Registered Confidential Police Informant Barbara Sattel was allegedly offered $10,000 by now, Col. Thomas Davoren, to set me up for a police beating and false arrest. I believe there was a conspiracy to have me arrested and imprisoned and the cover up of police misconduct and crimes, has gone on into recent times.

I had proposed Civilian Oversight of Police to State Senators Guglielmo and Kissel, and former Rep. Mordasky. Mordasky’s aid, Rosemarie, informed me that the State Police liaison said police were going to retaliate against me for proposing legislation regarding police, for wanting to sue police for violating my civil rights, and for what I had written in newspapers printed as letters to the editor. I was advised by Rosemarie to sell my properties and leave Connecticut before it was too late for me.

Colonel Barry answered me regarding what I could, and could not propose, as far as legislation regarding police, he was answering questions I had posed to elected officials, not him, I felt threatened for having tested what was supposedly protected by the First Amendment. Is it proper for police to answer questions posed to legislators, not police?

I would like Barbara Sattel, Brian Caldwell, Peter Coukos, and Police Officers, Mulcahey, Langlois, Amaral, Sticca, Barry, Izzarelli, Lynch, Wheeler, Fox, Davoren, Internal Affairs Officer Wack, Arthur L. Spada, and Judge Jonathan Kaplan investigated for being involved in spying, retaliation, and for crimes related to my false arrest, imprisonment, collusion, felonies and/or others crimes. Please refer to the past complaints I filed, that weren’t honestly and adequately investigated for more information.

I told Senator Guglielmo that officers were bragging around town that I was going to go to prison before trial. Judge Jonathan Kaplan stated to me that I was guilty and going to prison before the rigged trial. I believe former Connecticut State Police Commissioner was in contact with Judge Jonathan Kaplan to see that I didn’t get AR and that I went to prison in retaliation for my complaints and for what legislation I had proposed to elected officials.

Are the Connecticut State Police going to actually fairly investigate police misconduct complaints, starting now, and end the policy of covert operations, domestic spying, and retaliating against citizens that lodge complaints or propose legislation to elected officials to clean up the ethics mess in the Connecticut State Police?

Subject: Truth

To: the Connecticut Judiciary Committee Legislators [list, scroll down]

Should citizens that come to you about reforming police, the courts, DCF, and want officials to act in best interest of the public become targets, spied on, arrested, and held as political prisoners? Should you do something, or at least warn citizens the consequences of Free Speech and Redressing Grievances to elected officials?

Should whistleblowers be retaliated against?

Ritt Goldstein assembled international experts on Civilian Oversight of Police and testified in front of you in December 1996. [video] He soon fled the US to seek political asylum in Sweden as he was so terrorized by Connecticut police.

Recently 200 Connecticut State Troopers came to you complaining they are working in a hostile work environment and that the brass retaliates and are racist and unfair. What about what this “Goon Squad” is doing to citizens?

Judicial Branch workers expose the sleaze and felonies committed in Connecticut by their brass. [video]

If you legislators don’t act for the US Constitution and your constituents, there will be a private Blackwater-like police force executing and rounding up the poor, outspoken, and minorities, when there is a national emergency or Martial Law is declared. I was in New Orleans after Katrina hit. I know what the plans are from talking to White State Police Officers that were enlisted in the private army down there.

Domestic Spies, Connecticut State Police, act with no concern for laws or what is in the best interest of the public. [examples]

It won’t be long, legislators, you will no longer be employed as puppets, unless you act for those that pay your salaries. Do something before it is too late.

Subject: Johnny G. Handout

To: members of the Connecticut Public Safety and Security, Legislators

Legislators and Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell:

Does Connecticut look like it has any ethics if a former Governor, John G. Rowland, a felon, who went to prison for mishandling taxpayer money, taking bribes, covering up crimes of others, racketeering, and retaliating against those that tried to expose, should he be rewarded with a new job, at taxpayer expense, made up for him as a reward, and for what?

Should Chief State’s Attorney Kevin Kane be removed and prosecuted? Kane allegedly has a history of covering up official crimes such as cops hiring informants to kill or beat up citizens that complain? Kane recently was a panel member on a Judicial Branch Committee regarding ethics. 2 Judicial Branch employees blew the whistle saying that there is contract steering at the Bridgeport Court regarding cleaning contracts, branch employees are deleting and “adding” evidence to court hard drives, and Connecticut judges may have a “statewide escort service” hiring women as “supervisors” who have no real job description.

I would like the legislature to look into helping out citizens that are victims of Connecticut State Police covert Domestic Spying and Retaliation for having lodged police misconduct complaints, trying to have an abusive judge removed, or for exposing corruption in newspapers or in blogs.
